DIN EN 50446 defines the terminal head design types A and B, which differ in size and also slightly in their shape. Aluminum or plastic is used, depending on the application. These design types are suitable for the installation of a two-wire transmitter.

Welding protective sleeves

Welding protective sleeves are used for installing thermocouples and RTD temperature probes when replacement without draining the system and/or pressure resistance is required Pressure stability is temperature dependent and specified in the data sheet.

Connecting cables

For single and double thermometers Basic type: 909737

Connecting cables with stranded copper conductors transmit measuring signals from RTD temperature probes, resistance transmitters, humidity transmitters, or measuring probes with a standard signal to measuring, control, and recording devices. They are also used for supply voltages for active measuring probes.

Hygienic thermowells

The hygienic thermowells have been designed for use with standard temperature probes in the food and pharmaceutical industry. All process connections widely used in the industry are available.

Plug connections

For RTD temperature probes Basic type: 909762

The gold-plated contacts on the plug connections ensure that the connection between the RTD temperature probe and the connecting cable has a low contact resistance which prevents the measuring signal from being distorted. The locking mechanism also protects it against vibrations.

Bayonet fasteners

For push-in RTD temperature probes and push-in thermocouples Basic type: 909754

Bayonet fasteners allow temperature probes to be quickly locked and unlocked at the installation location. The option to change the insertion length is also an advantage. Versions with different threads and diameters can be combined using corresponding socket diameters.

Flanges

Temperature probes can be easily mounted and removed with stop flanges made of different materials and for different protection tube diameters. The variable positioning of the insertion length is also an advantage. A counter flange can be used to seal the measuring point up to 1 bar.

Measuring inserts for screw-in RTD temperature probes

With form B terminal head Basic type: 909740

The measuring inserts for screw-in RTD temperature probes with a form B terminal head are used as replacements. They are suitable for RTD temperature probes according to data sheet 902020 and 902820. Sheath measuring inserts are available for instances when the length of the measuring insert is 800 mm or longer.
